| Position of Responsibility Requirements
for Star or Life ranks:
While a First Class (Star) Scout, serve actively for four (six) months in one or more of the following positions of responsibility (or carry out a Scoutmaster-assigned leadership project to help the troop):
The
following is a list of special projects or leadership projects for
scouts that don't get a position. Contact your Scoutmaster
before starting any of these special projects.
1. Compile
a list of ideas for where to go camping and some activities that we
can do on these campouts.
2.
Organize a recruitment for scouting (Cub & Boy) at:
- St Edwards
- Sacred Heart
- Blessed Sacrement
3. Create
a lesson plan that covers all the requirements for Tenderfoot to 1st
Class and be ready to present it at a meeting for any of the
following:
- First Aide
- Orienteering
- Hiking
- Cooking
- Drug awareness
- Knots
- Nature
4.
Compile a list of 10 meals and make a shopping list for each of them
that serves eight.
5. Have a
list of 5 camp gadgets made with lashings. Acquire the materials
need for making them and be prepared to teach other scouts how to make
them.
6. Design
a gateway for Troop 1 to use at summer camp. Identify the
materials needed to assemble it.
7. Design
a plaque and certificate that can be given to Troop 1 supporters in
the community.
