Troop 1 Parents Meeting

1) Meeting called to order (Steve Murphy)

2) Present: Steve Davis, Jon Beyer, Chris Klaren, Steve Murphy, Michelle Westphal, Dana Jensen

3) Minutes of  Nov. 7, 2005 meeting approved

4) Reports:                

·        Scoutmaster - none

·        Secretary -none

·        Treasurer – Approx $1500 in account, $150 in Troop Account, Nov 19th pop can revenue to be collected

·        Outdoor/activities coordinator

·        Troop Campout at Harry Woods Park, Clarksville, Nov 11-13

·        Eagle Court of Honor, Nov. 27, K.C. Hall, Gabe Drewelow & Michael Berns

·        Troop Campout, Dec 9-11, WSR, (Al) – changed to sledding at Al Degenhardt’s, 2:30 – 6:00. Meet at St. Ed’s at 2:30.

·        Scout gift exchange, Dec 18 troop meeting (Al) Grab bag gift exchange. $5 limit

·        Advancement coordinator

·        Advancement activities (Tom R) – Merit Badge College: 26 merit badges, 7 rank advancements last month

·        Merit Badge University, UNI, Feb 18, update (Al D) 17 Scouts registered. Parent volunteers needed.

·        Chaplain

·        Ad Altare Dei update, (Steve M) 4 Scouts plan to complete over Christmas break

·        Pope Pius XII update, (Chris K) 2 Scouts and 1 Venturing Crew member will complete by January 8.

·        Training coordinator

·        Equipment coordinator

·        Storage shed update (Steve D) – Steve Murphy will check with Andy Mills for plans. Goal is to present plans to Parish Council in January.

·        Fundraising coordinator

·        Pop can collection fundraisers, Nov 19 (Steve D) Collected approx $175-$200 of bottles and cans. Next drive will be January 7. Wolverines and Ravens will staff.

·        Wreath sales update (Lisa M) – Money due December 11.

·        Popcorn sales wrap-up (Chris K) Sold $2,698. ($728 for Troop 1)  Check will be available at February round table.

·        Membership coordinator

5) Old Business

·        Troop positions needing adult leaders (Steve M, Chris K) Volunteers needed. For specifics of positions and activities, see website.
