Eagle Scout Court of Honor for Luke Jenson &
Josh Musgrave, March 26 – nice ceremony, well organized, the Scouts looked
sharp.

Scouting for Needs bag distribution - CANCELED,
April 1 – mistake with activity on council calendar as it was only being done
by the northern districts. We will
coordinate with Pack 25 next fall.

Troop Campout, Spring Camporee, April 28-30 – to be
held at Split Rock park near

Summer camp 2006,

Advancement

activities – no report due to issues with the troop software

Personal
Fitness Merit Badge offered – Jon Beyer and Jim O’Connor leading this Eagle
required merit badge. Meeting with
Scouts and parents held before last troop meeting. Schedule published on troop website.

Storage shed
update – bids for materials (not including concrete) were received ranging from
$5600 to $7600. Steve will meet with
Buildings & Grounds committee and Parish Council to gain their support. We need someone, preferably with the troop,
to act as construction manager or general contractor for the construction.

Pop can
collection fundraisers report, March 25, Ravens & Wolverines staffed –
another excellent collection, expect to receive about $325 total. Next collection April 22 to be staffed by
Dragons and Jay Hawks. Following
collection will be sometime after Memorial Day.

Flapjacker
pancake breakfast ticket sales profits report - $700 in ticket sales, $1.50 per
ticket returned to be split 70/30 between the Scouts and the troop. Our Scouts did a nice job working at the
breakfast.

5) Old
Business
·
Troop
charter renewal report – All units (packs, troops, crews) re-register each year
in April with the local Council. This
year we “re-chartered” with 33 Scouts and 21 registered adults. The updated roster is on the website.

Pancake
breakfast fundraiser at Knights of Columbus, Sunday, May 21, update – Profits
will be used by the troop to pay travel expenses (gas for cars, etc.) to travel
to
6) New Business
·
Borrowing
troop equipment – The question was asked if we had a policy addressing requests
from individuals or other groups to borrow troop camping gear. We currently do not have a policy, however a
draft will be prepared for the next meeting to be considered for potential
inclusion into the troop Parent’s Guide.

Arrow of
Light paperwork has not been turned in to the Scout office yet. Someone will check with Pack 25 leaders to
determine the status.
