·         Summer camp, June 21-27.  Jim reported that it was a hot week, yet everyone had a good time.  13 Scouts attended with a mix of adult leadership through the week.  As it was the first week of camp, Ingawanis was a bit disorganized, but our older Scouts really helped out our younger Scouts during the week.  4 Scouts completed the Ordeal for Order of the Arrow.  The group discussed and approved the troop’s payment of adult summer camp fees for the leaders that attended during the week.

·         Troop 1 Court of Honor and cookout, August 9.  The entire family is invited to this cookout and Court of Honor as the troop celebrates our Scouts accomplishments for the past year.  More information will be shared as the details are determined.

·         Troop campout, July 24-26.  This campout is planned for those Scouts not participating with Boundary Waters, although those going to Boundary Waters are welcome to join in.  Campout information will be shared as it becomes available.

·         Outdoor/activities coordinator – Van Blair has accepted the position of Outdoor/activities coordinator.  Please give him your full support as he begins his leadership in this position vital to the troop

·         Advancement coordinator

·         Advancement activities – no rank advancements or merit badges were earned since the previous meeting.  Note that this report does not include any merit badges earned at summer camp.

·         Equipment coordinator – Summer camp revealed several equipment deficiencies.  Only 5 of the 9 tents were fully equipped, the others were missing poles or had problems with zippers.  The old kitchen needs to be replaced, and the trailer needs reorganization.  It’s also time to get other new equipment such as axes.  The group was supportive of these needs, and there will be more discussion at the next meeting.

·         Fundraising coordinator

·         Pop can collection fundraiser, May 30 report, next scheduled July 11.  The troop is still waiting for the last 2 checks.
