·
Scoutmaster
– Jim
covered some of the directions the troop will be taking in the near and
mid-future:
·
Elections will be scheduled to be held in Jan and
July so that elected Scouts do not bear the entire burden of holding office
during the summer.
·
Troop uniforms – expect to have everyone with the
green loops and green numerals by January.
We are looking at having the troop purchase them and hand them out
before Christmas break.
·
The troop only has 5 complete (3-4 person) tents,
the others are missing poles, have defective zippers, or have rips in the
nylon. Grant is researching new tents
for the troop, and there was some discussion about buying some from the Council
after Jamboree or working with Crawdaddy’s in Waverly
to purchase new tents at discount possibly as part of the Jamboree purchase
package.
·
Jake Dodge has been appointed as troop scribe. Space on the web page has been identified for
the scribe’s records.
·
Troop is making plans to attend Camp Many Point in
Northern Minnesota the week of June 27 – July 3, their first week of camp. This date allows Scouts to attend both summer
camp and Jamboree if they choose to do so.
