·         The troop has been asked to set up the cross in front of the church prior to Ash Wednesday.  Currently planning to do this before the Feb 14 troop meeting.

·         Pack 17 (Kingsley) is reportedly looking for a troop for some of their Webelos 2’s to cross over into.  Jim will follow up.

·         Outdoor/activities coordinator

·         Santa’s Helper basement reset, St. Ed’s, Dec 13, report – not much help was available to tear down.

·         Set-up for Christmas mass, resetting afterwards, report – set up went well, only a few people were at the reset.

·         Red Flannel campout, Jan 16-17, report  - 12 Scouts, 6 adults, 29oF high, 18oF Low, fun in the snow, great campout.

·

·         Fundraising coordinator

·         Pop can collection, Jan 2 report, next scheduled Feb 13 – The last can collection was fairly small, no doubt due to the bitterly cold weather and being the day after New Years Day.  There was some discussion about letting the Scouts have 100% of the profits due to the low returns, but the payout was left at 50% due to the difficulty in determining a threshold at which profit sharing changes from 50% to 100%, as well as this being a life lesson to take the not so good with the good.

·         UNI concessions update – The wrestling tournament was another good weekend for this fundraiser.  The troop’s stand was busy all the time both days.

·         Membership coordinator

·

·         Round Table Update

·

5) Old Business

·         Troop uniforms – Centennial green shoulder loops and green troop numerals have been purchased and distributed.

·         Pop can tabs for Shriners, possible service project.  Without more information, this was tabled until we can learn more.

·         National Jamboree, July 2010, update – planning continues.  Openings are available for Scouts to sign up.

6) New Business

·         Troop Recharter – renewal dates, training requirements – BSA is in the process of changing the rechartering schedule so that all units recharter at the end of 2010.  Thus, the troop will recharter from May 1 to the end of this year, paying pro-rated registration fees.  BSA and the council are implementing mandatory training requirements for direct-contact registered adults (Scoutmasters and Assistant Scoutmasters) for 2011.
